Upon reading "How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, he decided to eat a healthy whole food, plant-based, no-added-oil diet that reversed his heart disease and saw all of his health markers improve. He knew his life depended on eating this way, so he started Little Green Forks to provide healthy meals for his family and employees at Tanner Research in Monrovia. This soon grew to providing meals for individuals beyond Tanner Research, and the business has continued to expand each year since it began.John TannerBusiness OwnerJohn experienced heart arrest while he was out jogging, but miraculously survived. He became motivated to understand what caused his heart disease and soon grew to understand the connection between nutrition and health. He started Little Green Forks so he and those he loves and cares about could eat healthy and tasty plant-based meals, and this vision continues to inspire our growth today.
