The heart of our mission is to provide support, training and advocacy to meet the special needs of foster, adoptive and kinship families, who provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children in foster care.\\Founded in 1972 and incorporated in 1974, Foster and Adoptive Family Services is the leading statewide advocacy agency for foster and adoptive parents. \\Children are placed in care because they are abused or neglected by their parents and it is unsafe for them to remain at home. With the help of caring people like you, FAFS helps bridge the gap between what the government can provide and what foster children actually need.\\We believe that children in foster care are the community's children, with the same hopes and dreams as all children.
