Citigroup (Citi) completed its acquisition of The BISYS Group, Inc. effective August 1, 2007. On that same date, private equity firm J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC (JCF) completed a transaction with Citi in which JCF acquired the Insurance and Retirement Divisions of the former BISYS Group, Inc. JCF combined those businesses with Crump Insurance Services, Inc., a wholesale property and casualty insurance broker already owned by JCF. The combined insurance organization operates under the name Crump Group, Inc. with the Retirement Services business operating under the name Ascensus. Citigroup retained the Investment Services Division of the former BISYS Group, Inc. About The Bisys Group, Inc.
