Workplace Giving Australia (WGA) is a not-for-profit social enterprise and the architect, driver and thought leader of workplace giving in Australia. We advise employers on how to develop best practice giving programs that not only deliver efficient funding to the charity sector but also create engaged and purposeful workforces. We advocate for workplace giving as the most effective way for working Australians to support charity. One Million Donors WGA leads the movement to see one million Australians donating to charity through work. This cost-effective approach to charity support has the potential to transform the giving landscape in Australia, impacting every charitable cause area. It was launched by former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in 2014, and has extensive support across businesses, charities and the community sector. The campaign website (www.1MDonors.org.au) is a one-stop-shop for employers and charities wanting to get the most out of workplace giving. Those employers signed up to the campaign have an average participation rate of 25% in their giving programs, which is five times the national average.
