The Bavarian Chef quickly became a local favorite, renowned for its outstanding food and warm hospitality. Today, chef/owner Jerome Thalwitz and his team continue his parents' tradition of excellence.In May 2010, Jerome and his wife Christine opened The Bavarian Chef Fredericksburg in the historic train station of Old Town Fredericksburg. They sold the Fredericksburg restaurant in May 2019 and it now operates as The Alpine Chef.Jerome and Christine launched The Bavarian Chef food truck and catering company in 2013.
