Turning Basin Service, Inc.(TBS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barbours Cut Import Service, Inc. (BCIS). TBS has been processing vehicles in the Houston area since incorporation in 1983.From 1983 to 1992 TBS operated in La Porte, Texas and processed vehicles for Chrysler, BMW, Volvo, Yugo, Peugeot, and Ford tractors. In May 1992, the business moved to the Port of Houston and has been the vehicle processor for Volkswagen Group of America for 21 years. In 2002, TBS began processing cars for Bentley Motors Incorporated and in November, 2006 Porsche Cars North America was added as a customer at the Port of Houston.
