About Us:Darn Hot Peppers are grown at Rancho Bella Vista, "farm with a beautiful view", a family farm committed to growing a wide variety of pesticide-free hot peppers. Owned and operated by the Jimenez Family, this little slice of heaven is a place we are now fortunate enough to call home. For generations the Jimenez name has been synonymous with respect for the land and her fruits. This respect comes from deep migrant farm worker roots, and the pride of caring for "nuestra tierra" (our land). In turn, nuestra tierra has always taken care of us. Our Methods:We employ only traditional and sustainable agriculture methods at Rancho Bella Vista. We rely on crop rotation, crop residues, animal manures and mechanical cultivation to maintain soil productivity and tilth to supply plant nutrients, and to control weeds, insects and other pests. Our Founder: Darn Hot Peppers is also happy to share that founder Gerardo (Jerry) Jimenez of Cobden, Illinois is a member of the Farm Service Agency (FSA) Illinois State Committee.
