Skånes Dansteater is Sweden's largest independent dance institution. You're always welcome to Skånes Dansteater whether you are one of our regular guests or haven't discovered us yet. We invite you to be challenged, moved, to learn, discover and rediscover.We perform in various venues, often on our own stage near Dockan in Malmö, but also in other venues like Malmö Opera. We regularly tour throughout southern Sweden as well as nationally and internationally.You'll find so much more than dance performances at Skånes Dansteater. We want to make dance more accessible to everyone, even if you've never experienced dance before. If you're already interested we'll help you deepen your knowledge. Dance workshops, interesting lectures, exciting seminars, talks and study visits are just some examples of what we call Dialogue.Skånes Dansteater is a corporation, owned by Region Skåne (90%) and the City of Malmö (10%).
