Medical Students' Aid Project (MSAP) is a student-led global health group at the University of New South Wales. We were established in 2001 by two former medical students who saw the need to contribute to equity in medical treatment and resources during a placement in Malawi, Africa. We now develop and implement community projects at both local and global levels, including aid provision to hospitals in the developing world, support for mothers and babies during childbirth and a nutrition program for schoolchildren in rural India. Additionally, we empower our students and the greater community to contribute positively towards healthcare equity through education and advocacy events held in Sydney, NSW, which generate awareness about global issues.
