The mission of Global Citizens Initiative (GCI) is to engage, educate and empower all citizens of the world with the tools necessary to interact naturally across borders, languages, and cultures. Moreover, as the world moves from being merely connected to hyper-connected, becoming a "transnational" person is no longer a luxury but a necessity for global peace and individual prosperity. To meet the exciting demands of this new world, Yumi Kuwana, a University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School graduate with a bicultural background in America and Japan, has designed a program to educate the global leaders of tomorrow. GCI strives to nurture Global Citizens who speak multiple languages, have an understanding of various cultures, and possess strong moral character and wise judgment. We believe that the role of family is critical in achieving success. GCI provides a global platform and framework to assist families and educators reach these goals with a longer term goal to create a global education core curriculum for schools.
