TLC Program Coordinator at EVERY WOMAN'S PLACE/WEBSTER HOUSE YOUTH SERVICES - , N/A, US
The mission of Every Woman's Place/Webster House Youth Services is to improve and enhance the lives of women, youth, children and families in crisis in our community by providing and advocating for services which lead to their safety, their emotional and economic self-sufficiency, their productivity, & their ability to participate fully in our society. For nearly 40 years, Every Woman's Place (EWP) has been providing safe shelter, counseling, advocacy and supportive services to women and children surviving domestic and sexual violence. EWP services include safe shelter, parenting education, advocacy, sexual assault crisis intervention, counseling, information and referral services, and a 24-hour hotline. The goals of these services are to provide crisis intervention and ongoing supportive services designed to assist women and children to enter into a safe living setting, move from surviving through healing to thriving, and discover their potential to develop and grow to self-sufficiency. Webster House Youth Services (WHYS) provides essential and comprehensive programs to homeless, runaway and "thrown away" youth; including short- and long-term shelter, counseling, parenting education, skill-building programs, and independent living skills. Our goals are to heal and reunite youth with families, when safe and possible; and to provide the training and support necessary to enable youth to grow and become self-sufficient, productive and active members of their communities. EWP/WHYS is accredited by the Council on Accredidation, which provides an objective, independent, and reliable validation of an agency's performance. COA accreditation demonstrates accountability in the management of resources, sets standardized best practice thresholds for service and administration, and increases organizational capacity and accountability by creating a framework for ongoing quality improvement.
