Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to championing sustainable preservation of Mimosa Hall & Gardens, where history and culture engage and uplift community. Mimosa Hall, a Greek Revival style home in Roswell, Georgia, was built in 1841 for Roswell founding father John Dunwody. Mimosa Hall was named by a later owner for its many mimosa trees. In 1918, noted architect J. Neel Reid purchased the house and designed its iconic five-acre gardens. The property remained in private hands until 2017, when the City of Roswell purchased the home and its surrounding 9 acres. The Friends of Mimosa Hall & Gardens support the restoration and maintenance of Mimosa Hall. We have a 100% active board. Our accomplishments have been featured on media across the US, including Yale Climate Connections, WSB-TV, and WABE radio.
