After more than a decade of establishing its reputation as one of the few credible, unbiased, and quality entities of sourcing information, KosovaLive Org has enriched its services and now offers educational trainings; houses an online publishing division for studies; and organizes activities and events directed towards advancing society. Founded in Prishtina, following the 1999-2000 war, as a result of a growing need for an independent news agency to serve the local and international media, KosovaLive Organization has transformed, while keeping its roots intact. We at KosovaLive believe that the media's purpose in addition to informing is to educate. Thus, we focus our work in ensuring that the common reader is served unbiased, straight-forward news; encouraging research and offering opportunities to students and scholars to publish and present studies; as well as, hosting events that have a focus in developing critical thinking abilities among the youth. KosovaLive Org. continues to provide its news services to local multilingual broadcasters, as well as members of the Mreza network. It is home to a seven year old study abroad and internship program with Miami University (from Oxford Ohio), which brings twelve to eighteen American students per year, since 2007, to Kosovo for eight weeks. Aside from enrolling in credit-based courses with a focus in Journalism, Democracy and Peace Building, students research and publish articles, relating to local issues on www.kosovalive360.com, in this way gaining invaluable international professional experience (See: http://miamiuinkosovo.org/). Graduate students from this group, who conduct research in Kosovo, are also given the opportunity to publish their studies on www.kosovalive.org.
