Ground penetrating radar is an accepted and routinely used nondestructive method for imaging objects in concrete prior to cutting or coring. It is a safe application of radar regulated by the FCC and fieldwork typically requires only one operator. Imaging results are generated on-site for immediate mark out and analysis of targets in selected areas. The inspection, under normal circumstances, can be performed on one side of the slab, which permits slab-on-grade scanning.
