The Health Equity Alliance (HEAL) is focused on ending health, socioeconomic and racial disparities to address disproportionate death rates for mothers and infants in Tarrant County. HEAL, is on a mission to eliminate preventable infant and maternal death by making racial, socioeconomic and health equity a reality for all in Tarrant County. Expert-led, community-focused and equity-driven, HEAL leverages, scientific, evidence-based research, in-house expertise, community organization partnerships and HEAL members to connect mothers and infants to the resources they need to equitably thrive and affect real change. Historically, most of the focus has been on the individual's role in her own health.
