What is Energy Systems & What do We do?Energy Systems is a Cameroonian Based Start-up doing in renewable energy solutions for rural areas in Cameroon. We aim to assist local communities and businesses in their daily energy struggle. Cameroon in particular and Africa's Rural areas in general pain to be connected to the electrical grid due generally to their geographical positions or the lack of real policy to tackle that serious issue of energy. So our main target as a start-up is to fulfil that gap of service by providing clean, cheap and renewable energy solutions.The impact of energy shortage in Africa is significant: the World Bank estimates that this chronic shortage of power reduces Africa's economic growth by about two percentage points every year. A lack of clean, safe and affordable light in off-grid homes negatively affects health, education and local business.With this backdrop, the continent is ripe for energy innovation. The annual cost of living off-grid is around $27 billion globally, money which is spent on kerosene, candles, battery torches and other stopgap technologies for lighting and mobile-phone charging. Increasingly, initiatives to provide off-grid solar power are providing home solar solutions, which provide a better service at a more affordable cost. Our aim as a business is to exploit that huge market potential and also help make other's life better. We are committed to offering clean power at a price within our customers' existing energy budget. They are able to pay for our product over time and choose the service level that best suits their household's needs.
