MISSING is an award-winning organisation that uses the power of Innovation, Education and Empowerment to prevent sex trafficking. It seeks to create a world where every girl is safe, from sex-trafficking. Concentrating on two P's of the UN's 4P Strategy against trafficking, Prevention and Partnerships, MISSING directly engages with the public, to sensitize them on their role as demand-makers contributing to sex abuse and exploitation and how they can prevent it.Under its pillar of Education, MISSING has been providing systematic awareness on the issue to bring about a systemic change. Through an approach that combines the immersive impact of ART and scalability of TECHNOLOGY, its education program empowers learners with the knowledge to keep themselves safe and to become powerful catalysts for social change. Under its pillar of Empowerment, MISSING works with survivors and vulnerable women and girls (of not only trafficking but also domestic violence and child marriage) in one of the most vulnerable districts of India which accounts for a significant number of victims of trafficking - South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Accounting for 44% of reported cases, the region is characterized by low human development and extreme poverty. Under its pillar of Innovation, MISSING reaches out directly to the public to create awareness, build empathy and drive behavioural change through immersive, narrative-based applications and public projects such as the Missing: Game for a Cause, the global guerilla art Stencil project and the Missing Murals with chatbots, an interactive digital comic Web of Deceit and the upcoming game Missing: The Complete Saga.We ask - WHY WAIT FOR A GIRL TO GET TRAFFICKED TO SAVE HER?
