This enterprise aims to enable social, environmental and economic development through one-of-a-kind public private partnerships. The team's effort, resolved to take on complex issues for the greater good of society, lies particularly in restoring India's built heritage and developing sustainable infrastructure to manage scarce water resources in an expanding Indian city, Jaipur. In this ongoing road towards creating a sustainable ecosystem of society and environment around Jal Mahal, we're eager for participation and feedback from people in Jaipur, India or around the globe. In 2005, an agreement was signed granting Jal Mahal Resorts (JMRPL) a lease to develop 100 acres along the Man Sagar Lake, including the Jal Mahal. This project includes the creation of Jal Tarang, a green leisure destination for visitors and locals alike along Mansagar Lake that will include environmentally-friendly accommodation, independent Jaipuri galleries and boutiques, and lakeside dining along a tree-lined promenade, all in keeping with Jaipur's heritage as the artistic heart of India. At the heart of Jal Tarang will be the newly resplendent Jal Mahal, a unique cultural venue in a stunning setting, where music, dance, poetry and the arts will blossom.
