Gemma Services was formed in November 2019 by the merger of two nonprofits, Silver Springs – Martin Luther School and theVillage. Representing a combined 300+ years of service to vulnerable children and families in the Philadelphia region, we believe are stronger and better together in responding to needs in our communities. With the mission of changing lives by transforming hope into action, Gemma provides a range of programs to help children, youth, and families heal from trauma, build resilience, and gain skills needed to reach their full potential. Services include: residential and community based mental health services, specialized education, foster care and adoption services, and out-of-school and in-home prevention programs for approximately 5,000 children, youth, and families each year who are facing significant challenges.
