New Beginnings North is a new social enterprise company based in Stockton-on-Tees, in the North East of England. Embracing innovation and the latest technology, New Beginnings North utilises Virtual Reality (VR) immersive, holistic educational experiences to support people with convictions as they rehabilitate and redesign their lives. Working to reduce reoffending we support people in the last 12 months of their custodial sentence to prepare them for their return into society, and then we continue to support, mentor, coach, track and monitor them for a further 12 months post release. New Beginnings North will be the driving force for the strategic development and effective organisation of interconnecting support services for person-centred rehabilitation and resettlement. Collaborating with our already established, experienced and successful partners in the areas of neurodiversity, mental and physical health, rehousing support and employment we will provide our service users with a seamless and successful transition from custody to community. We encourage a rehabilitative culture as we educate the person in the skills required to function and flourish in society, helping them to develop a set of transferable skills that can be used to gain employment and live a fulfilling, productive and law-abiding life.
