Many Australians are coming to the MySchool website to see the latest NAPLAN results and the new information available on My School 3.0. There has however been some confusion about the relationship between myschool.com.au and myschool.edu.au The MySchool Website was created in 2003 by the Australian company MySchool Pty Ltd who own the registered and protected trademark "MySchool" across numerous classes. myschool.com.au is administered by MySchool Pty Ltd myschool.edu.au is administered by ACARA As a result of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority's (ACARA) decision to use the name "My School" for their results website which launched in 2010, numerous talks have been conducted between MySchool Pty Ltd and ACARA about the obvious intellectual property issues. We needed to find a way forward that satisfies both entities, but more importantly supports the parents, students and teachers who we want to enjoy a seamless MySchool experience, whilst respecting the intellectual property of both MySchool Pty Ltd and ACARA. MySchool Pty Ltd and ACARA have reached an understanding and MySchool supports the Government's My School 3.0 website by providing a navigation tab in the main navigation menu to take users to the school data in a new browser window as part of the seamless MySchool experience.
