Dream Exchange is currently creating two new and innovative stock exchanges. The first Minority-owned national market system exchange and the first venture stock exchange will be created with the aim of increasing participation and access to public capital markets.Our national market system exchange will provide a simple, compliant, turn-key solution to increase participation from more diverse communities in finance and capital markets. We believe that to raise communities, we must first raise the capital that allows the businesses in those communities to expand, hire, flourish and prosper.In 2015, Joe Cecala, Founder and CEO of Dream Exchange, began to research the capital marketplace and found that the small IPO market had been in decline since the late 1990's. The development of high-frequency electronic trading made small IPOs less profitable for large investment banks and stock exchanges and the result was a steep decline in the number of IPOs in the $50 million and under range. Cecala understood that this problem affected people from every sector of our society because, 92% of all jobs created within a company are created after the company goes public.Cecala's solution was to create legislation to alter the market structure and to invent a new type of stock exchange designed for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
