Director of Policy and State Outreach at Building Performance Association - Pittsburgh, PA, US
The Building Performance Association is a membership-driven 501(c)6 industry association dedicated to advancing the home and building performance industry by delivering improved energy efficiency, health, safety, and environmental performance of buildings through our key stakeholders. The Association supports 9,500+ home performance contractors, weatherization agencies and training centers, product manufacturers and distributors, program sponsors and implementers, building scientists, and non-profits focused on residential and commercial energy efficiency. Advocacy, education, programs, networking, publications, and community are the means by which the Association supports the industry. The Association was formed through the re-alignment of three organizations. The Association now consists of the assets and staff from Efficiency First, Home Energy Magazine, and the Home Performance Coalition, which itself was the result of a merger of Affordable Comfort, Inc. and the National Home Performance Council (NHPC). There is a 17 member board of directors that is made up of representatives of the organizations that created the Association, plus a handful of at-large members. The Association also produces the National Home Performance Conference, the industry's largest gathering of home performance experts, along with industry leaders, partners, and innovators.
