Wildfire Publishing was established in Sydney, Australia in 1989 when the publisher, Victoria Black, became engaged and discovered the need for a practical guide to organising a wedding. Victoria decided to launch a guide to everything you need to know to organise a perfect wedding - and the result was Sydney Wedding magazine...now commonly referred to as "the wedding bible". In 1995, Newcastle and Central Coast Wedding was launched and is still the number one bridal magazine for the region. In 1998, Wildfire Publishing went national - responding to an overwhelming need for a premium quality magazine dedicated to providing ideas and inspiration for a truly stylish wedding. The result is Modern Wedding - a highly prestigious, information-packed magazine, distributed throughout Australia and New Zealand every quarter. Many titles and supplements have since been added to the Wildfire portfolio, on Photography and Video, Jewellery, Receptions and Honeymoons and Exotic Weddings. In addition, Modern Wedding publishes annual guides to Wedding Flowers and Wedding Cakes & Chocolates, which are a big hit all over the world. Luxury Weddings Yearbook is targeted at the absolute top-end of the wedding market, and Modern Wedding DIY and Modern Hair+Beauty are the more recent successful titles launched by Wildfire Publishing.
