Limerick Football club, known as the Superblues owing to the traditional colour of their strip, are a Professional Football Club at the very heart of the Mid-West region. Founded in 1937, the club currently competes in the Premier Division of the Airtricity League of Ireland. The club offices are based in the Kirby O'Sullivan Sports Social and Business Park, at the Old Convent in Bruff. \\A club with a strong community and youth focus, Limerick FC runs the Reclaim Project, which helps youths with social engagement and to become mentors in their communities. Limerick FC has teams nationally competing at U19 and U17 level, and teams at all ages within Limerick FC Academy from age 3 upwards. The club is affiliated to the local Ladies and Schoolgirls League (LWSSL). The club also has a senior Special Olympics Team and a Football for All team.
