theGKexperience (GKE) is an award-winning youth-work charity that sets out to transform the lives of young people who face long-term challenges living in poverty and inequality in Glasgow. To date, we have supported over 400 young people from the 5-10% most disadvantaged neighbourhoods (SIMD). We build long-term, supportive relationships through our integrated support model including weekly activities, mentoring, residential experiences and our transformational young leaders programme. The results are life-changing; we create positive aspiration, resilience and prevent the cycle of poverty.
