At that time he was a Certified Property Manager and running a large asset management firm with assets over $50 million. His first facility was in Paso Robles, California. It was named American Self Storage because of Dennis' Marine background and Vietnam War experience as a Purple Heart decorated combat command officer. All things "American" is important to his operation.
