The North Carolina Governor's School Foundation was incorporated in 1990 as a non-profit whose sole purpose is to support and preserve North Carolina's flagship summer enrichment program. Led by a Board of Directors comprised of program administrators, educators, and alumni from across the state, the Governor's School Foundation and its affiliates view the School as a wellspring for intellectual growth, preparing future leaders for an increasingly competitive North Carolina workforce where inquisitive and nuanced thinking is a prerequisite to success. In 2020, the Foundation merged with and assumed the responsibilities of the Governor's School Alumni Association. The Foundation is committed to strengthening the future of North Carolina by helping to fund opportunities for North Carolina's talented next generation.
