Laughing At My Nightmare, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Bethlehem, PA.Co-Founded by cousins, Shane Burcaw and Sarah Yunusov, the mission of the organization is to inspire people to overcome adversity through the use of humor and positivity, and also to raise money to help families affected by muscular dystrophy diseases. Our organization promotes a message of positivity through our motivational speaking program. This speaking program is entitled the Power of Positivity. Shane and Sarah travel the country telling Shane's heart-warming and insightful story of living with a severe form of muscular dystrophy. They teach audiences how the power of laughter and a positive mindset have helped him overcome the adversity he's faced.Our organization raises money for families affected by muscular dystrophy through our No More Nightmares program. People living with muscular dystrophy know how much of a nightmare it is when basic needs are financially unavailable. This program supplies people with muscular dystrophy with wheelchair accessible vehicles, ramps to make their houses accessible, and other adaptive technology to help them live better lives. Our goal is to supply equipment that fosters healthy, comfortable, and productive lives.Since 2015, Laughing At My Nightmare has gifted over $136,000 in equipment grants to individuals living with muscular dystrophy. Laughing At My Nightmare, Inc. is supported by an active Board of Directors and currently employs a President, a Treasurer, and a Fundraising Director. The nonprofit has been in existence since 2012.
