Formed in 1969 by the consolidation of several smaller districts, the Indian River School District serves the towns of Selbyville, Frankford, Dagsboro, Fenwick Island, Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Millville, Clarksville, Gumboro, Millsboro and Georgetown.
