Our new authentication method complements and/or replaces the current password-based autehntication. One of major problems with passwords is that stored passwords are sometimes leaked and some of them can be decoded, even if encrypted. (Another problem is that still many users select simple passwords.) This led us to consider using image files in place of passwords. These files contain much longer byte strings and are easy to locate for users, which will be encoded and stored on server side.
