The Bellevue Public Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 1985 to expand opportunities for innovation in education beyond BPS budget parameters. It's main programs are Kids' Time (before and after school care for children kindergarten through sixth grade), College Scholarships ($12,000 awarded to Bellevue graduates each year), Operation Read (Spring quiz bowl event to get 4th-6th graders excited about reading), Spring Choral Festival (music and guest conductor fees for the 8th-12th grade event), National Academic Trip Assistance (allowing outstanding students to compete at a national level and Classroom Grants (encouraging forward-thinking educators to collaborate in exploring new ways of engaging students to help them learn and succeed).
