Sanders is best-known for creating the Ralph Lauren Interior Design Department, and his signature fresh American style defines the hotel's sophisticated new look. Many of the guest rooms offer a breathtaking view of the Capitol dome through their expanse of windows. On the other side of the building is a commanding view of some of Washington D.C.'s hottest new neighborhoods. The hotel itself is located five blocks from the Capitol and a ten-minute walk from the Washington Mall.The hotel is proud to feature a glamorous competition-size pool, constantly voted the best in the city by nearly every local media outlet.
