Steyning Grammar School is a successful high achieving school supporting over 2000 students from 11-18 years with over 500 students in the Sixth Form College.Nestled below the South Downs, in the small historic market town of Steyning, West Sussex, we have one of the most modern boarding facilities in the country, accommodating 125 boarders from around the world. We are the first Ofsted ‘Outstanding' State Boarding School in England.We have an environment where students are happy, engaged and keen to learn, and here teachers are passionate about learning and ensuring students reach their full potential, living up to the schools motto ‘Every Person The Best They Can Be'.At our very successful Sixth Form College we offer 40 different A Level subjects, including traditional and vocational courses together with BTEC National programmes.We provide very affordable boarding opportunities with no tuition fee and modest boarding rates for both weekly and full-time students, with admissions accepted in Year 9 and Year 12. This beautiful rural location is the ideal studying environment away from the distractions of modern cities. There is a real sense of family amongst the boarders across the age ranges and nationalities. A committed team of house-parents live in each boarding house providing a strong support network. A wide range of facilities are available with access to a sports hall, squash courts, swimming pool, playing fields, tennis courts including floodlit all weather pitches. We also provide a diverse range of activities, events and organised trips to make boarders' experience unique and memorable.With excellent links to Brighton, Gatwick and London, we offer an ideal destination for students from the surrounding areas and beyond.
