The British Society of Thoracic Imaging represents radiologists and clinicians in the United Kingdom and Ireland who have a specialist interest in thoracic imaging. The Society is recognised as a "Special Interest Group" by the Royal College of Radiologists.Society objectives- Support and represent all Thoracic Radiologists and Radiologists or clinicians with a special interest in Thoracic Radiology in the UK- Encourage trainees wishing to subspecialise in Thoracic Radiology- Promote evidence based best practice in UK Thoracic Radiology- Help establish standards and good practice in Thoracic Radiology- Support and promote national initiatives in research and audit in Thoracic Radiology- Provide expert advice on curriculum developments in the education and training of Radiologists- Provide a source for advice on all matters relating to the practice of Thoracic Radiology to the Royal College of Radiologists and other relevant bodies- Deliver educational opportunities to a wider audience and provide a forum for discussion and support among Thoracic Radiologists- Foster mutually beneficial relations with other relevant regional, national, and international groups
