WHO WE ARE:We are a national law firm that represents victims and their families in both federal and state lawsuits. Our practice focuses primarily on fraternity hazing, Title IX violations, sexual violence, gun violence, and other serious injury and wrongful death claims related to campus safety. In addition, we offer assistance to survivors of gender violence, whistleblowers in campus disciplinary hearings, and defamation defense matters.WHO WE ARE NOT:We are not a non-profit organization. Our business model relies upon contingency fees arrangements and hourly rates with clients as appropriate for specific services. We do offer pro bono assistance on occasion for select matters.SELECTED SUCCESSES:In 2017, Attorney Monica Beck obtained a $1.8 Million verdict against former major league baseball player, Chad Curtis. He is currently incarcerated for sexually assaulting 4 of our clients in high school. In 2014, our team obtained approximately $5 Million in judgments and settlements for young girls improperly videotaped and photographed by their elementary school teacher. This outcome allowed the survivors to obtain quality mental health care they deserve, pay for college, and support their families. We help rape survivors achieve justice in school disciplinary hearings, protecting students and their Title IX and educational rights. As part of our practice focusing on women's rights, we also defend sexual assault survivors who have been sued by perpetrators for defamation and file counterclaims on their behalf to obtain compensation for their injuries.In 2008, Attorney Doug Fierberg helped secure an $11 Million settlement for the survivors and families of victims of the Virginia Tech massacre.
