Noah's House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to provide opportunity for growth and fulfillment to people with Intellectual Disabilities by providing a loving, nurturing, and affordable home, and community. We believe that adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities are like everyone else – they want to live independently and make as many of their own choices as possible. They want the chance to live productive lives and decide what to do with their time. They don't want to be dependent on family, friends, or end up homeless but they realize they can't do it alone.Noah's House does not accept government funding. We are funded primarily through resident fees and the generosity of caring people. Our fees are substantially less than other programs that offer housing services. Currently, our fees are just $1,250 per month, which is quite unusual given the services we provide. We focus on excellence within our management and operations. With 20 years of success, the staff at Noah's House will continue its mission of fostering independence, caring for and making a difference in the lives of these special people. No two people with special needs are alike. While all of our residents have similarities, our staff provides specific services tailored for each resident. We provide a wide range of life skills, housing and transportation services. In addition to their everyday needs, we assist our residents with budgeting, spending and saving, personal hygiene, household chores and overall cleanliness. And this is just the beginning – we also monitor their health and arrange for medical examinations and appointments, medication storage and replenishment. We coordinate leisure time activities and promote social skills so that each resident is given the chance for a successful, well-rounded life.
