WUCF is Central Florida's public media organization, a university joint licensee of the University of Central Florida.Beginning as WFTU FM in 1978 and rebranding alongside the university to WUCF FM in 1980, WUCF has been a trusted media outlet in the local community for generations. UCF acquired WUCF TV in 2012. WUCF TV is the sole-service Public Broadcasting System (PBS) member station for 4.3 million people across nine counties.
