Miocene currently is a private mineral exploration company exploring seven properties in the Cascade Magmatic Arc of SW British Columbia for porphyry-related Cu-Au-Mo deposits. The seven properties are distributed along a 200 km long arc extending from the Hope/Chilliwack area near the Canada/US border in the south to about 70 km north of Pemberton in the north. The name Miocene derives from the predominant age of the intrusions we are exploring and of course, the Miocene (and the Tertiary in general) was a prolific age for porphyry Cu-Au-Mo deposit formation and these deposits generally are still comparatively very well preserved.
