The Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) develops policies and programs, provides training and prevention education, conducts research and evaluations, performs community outreach, and operates the New York City Family Justice Centers. We collaborate with New Yorkers, law enforcement, the courts, other City agencies, non-profits and foundations to ensure access to inclusive services for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence (GBV). GBV can include intimate partner and family violence, elder abuse, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. The NYC Family Justice Centers (FJCs) are co‐located multidisciplinary service centers providing vital social services, civil legal, and criminal justice assistance for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence and their children—all under one roof. FJCs are open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. NYC HOPE can connect you to resources to help you or a loved one experiencing dating, domestic, or gender-based violence. Please visit NYC HOPE here: https://www1.nyc.gov/nychope/site/page/home. In addition to the site, individuals can call the City's 24-hour Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-621-HOPE (4673) for immediate safety planning, shelter assistance, and other resources.
