I am currently licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker, or LICSW. The LICSW is the highest level of licensure provided to social workers in Massachusetts. I have completed extensive post-graduate training in the treatment of domestic violence, substance abuse and family therapy, and have been treating men, their spouses and families, with sexually compulsive behaviors for many years. My practice is GLBTQQ welcoming and affirming and I have extensive experience working with gender variant individuals, their partners and families. I am currently working towards certification as an American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists sex therapist. I am a member of several professional organizations that focus on my areas of interest and clinical specialty. Professionally, I have consulted to several organizations on issues such as domestic violence, substance abuse and sexual compulsivity and have developed training curricula focused on teaching graduate students in social work, psychology, and mental health counseling how to assess, intervene and treat individuals, couples and families and work respectfully and effectively with GLBTQQ populations.
