What is AFRA?The Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA) is the only national trade association dedicated exclusively to promoting and fostering the interests of furniture removal and storage companies in Australia. Membership of AFRA is open to any partnership or company engaged in the furniture removal and storage industry within Australia. AFRA is directly involved in all industry issues affecting a removal and storage business and as such is recognised within Government Departments relevant to the industry, as the authority for handling all matters. Enquiries handled by State Offices for Consumer Affairs and the Offices of Fair trading concerning removals and storage are mostly directed to AFRA for resolution. AFRA's dispute resolution tribunal has been recognised as was evidenced by winning a very prestigious Award from NSW Fair Trading in 2005.AFRA provides extensive training courses, both online and classroom type. These range from inductions for the first day on the job, to advanced courses on estimating and wrapping and packing. AFRA also works closely with the Federal Government's National training scheme in developing relevant courses for the industry and their delivery.
