Skyline College opened in 1969 as part of the San Mateo County Community College District. Located on a 111-acre site overlooking the Pacific Ocean just south of San Francisco, Skyline College offers world-class educational opportunities to residents from North San Mateo County and beyond in a culturally rich environment. Over 16,000 students annually enroll in a broad range of affordable day, evening, weekend, and online courses. Many students complete lower-division general education requirements to transfer to four-year colleges and universities to earn a bachelor’s degree. Other students graduate with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree. Skyline College offers the latest career education through nationally acclaimed programs such as Automotive Technology, Business, Cosmetology, Paralegal Studies, and Allied Health programs such as Respiratory Care and Anesthesia Technology. Skyline College is free for San Mateo County residents who want to pursue a degree or certificate program.
