One of the oldest and largest nonprofit organizations of its kind in Mississippi, MCHS is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, representing a commitment to continuously maintain the highest healthcare, safety and quality goals for youth in our care. We are licensed, certified and accredited by state and federal entities: Mississippi Department of Human Services, Mississippi Department of Health, Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Mississippi Division of Medicaid, Mississippi Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services. We are governed by a committed Board of Directors representing all regions of our state. MCHS is funded in part by: Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Department of Education, Mississippi Department of Human Services, Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Mississippi Division of Medicaid, Mississippi Department of Public Safety, the Department of Health and Human Services, County Boards of Supervisors, municipalities, corporate and foundation grants, United Way, program service fees and private donations.
