Currently, the Mexican Association of Protected Horticulture (AMHPAC), represents 250 grower members who work under protection schemes in their crops, agglomerating 9,363 hectares of protected horticulture distributed in 25 states of the Mexican Republic.The surface of our membership has 5,938 hectares of shade house, 3,365 hectares of greenhouse and 60 hectares of macro tunnel.It is estimated that the production of the AMHPAC membership exceeds 1,200,000 tons of vegetables per year, which are concentrated in 3 main commodities with their different varieties:-Tomato with 66%-Bell pepper with 18%-Cucumber with 15%-Peppers, Eggplant and others with 1%Production destination:-United States of America 77.1%-Canada 3.7%-Domestic market (Mexico) 19.1%-Other countries 0.1%The commercial value of the production of our members exceeds 1,200,000 USD per year in exports.At the same time, the membership of AMHPAC generates around 92,000 jobs nationwide, of which 27,000 are reported as permanent jobs and 65,000 as temporary jobs, positioning itself as a key part for the welfare of the industry nationwideWe have suppliers companies of goods and services of the agricultural sector, who are part of AMHPAC under the scheme of annual sponsors.
