Hello! My name is Juanita Barkley, Founder and CEO of Resumes by Juanita.I'm on a mission to help people gain confidence in the job search phases of their lives. After completing my master's in Psychology, I wanted to focus primarily on the Industrial side of the fence to help companies create a more employee focused development program. Unfortunately where I live in Ft. Bragg, NC, there are not many opportunities for this kind of work. Being a military spouse and involved with the military base daily, I started to notice that a lot of people were having trouble getting work. Many transitioning soldiers were just not sure where to start in their journey back to the civilian marketplace. This is not just a problem for Veterans though, many people have the same issue.This is where my new passion was born. For the past 7 years I have helped people mentally prepare for the job search phase and prepared resumes that were written in such a way to grab an employers attention. I've also taught thousands of job seekers how to get through Applicant Tracking System (ATS) algorithms so they were no longer at the bottom of the candidate pool when applying online. This framework is exactly what has allowed my clients to get employed 87% of the time!
