Browning Insurance Agency, Inc is one of the oldest established insurance agencies in the state of Florida. The agency was founded in 1907 by L. D. Hathaway. In 1932, Alfred McKethan purchased the agency from Mr. Hathaway. Ed Browning joined the agency in 1954 and moved his family to Brooksville from Durham, North Carolina. In 1955, the name of the agency changed to McKethan Browning Insurance Agency. In 1969, the name was altered for the final time. When Ed Browning passed away in 1972, his wife Evelyn continued the business until 1982 when she retired. At that time, their three sons took over the agency and remain today as the principal agents.Browning Insurance Agency is a full service independent agent with the ability to handle your personal and commercial insurance needs.
