Old Virginia Hand Hewn Log Homes, Inc. is a Log Home Handcrafter/Manufacturring company located in Southwest Virginia on US HWY 58 near Pennington Gap at Dot. Old Virginia was born in 1981 with the goal to continue an American heritage - handcrafting authentic, Appalachian style log homes - continuing a family tradition. Logs are air dried and hewed by hand with an ax. The Company now offers three systems, two hand hewn using 6" x 12" logs and a planed "D" log with 8" x 8" logs. We have several standard plans to choose from or your ideas can be drawn into your dream home. Logs are cut to customers specifications. A company owned guest house is available to "Test Drive a Log Home"! Customers are welcome to come and spend a night in a log home and enjoy country living at it's best!
