The Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps is comprised of a dedicated group of individuals who live or work in Franklin Lakes. They unselfishly dedicate their time and energy to provide ambulance service & pre-hospital care to the Borough of Franklin Lakes and other municipalities without cost. The corps also provides standby coverage and assistance when requested by the Police or Fire Departments, in the event of a fire, disaster, and for community events in our town. All volunteer members are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and are required to complete 250 hours of initial training and 48 hours of training every 3 years to maintain their EMT qualifications. They also undergo on-the-job training and periodic elective training to keep their skills fresh and current.
