The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Together with more than 70,000 members, the ACFE is reducing business fraud worldwide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession. The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence. CFEs are trained to identify the warning signs and red flags that indicate evidence of fraud and fraud risk. CFEs around the world help protect the global economy by uncovering fraud and implementing processes to prevent fraud from occurring in the first place. Established in 2013, The Lebanon Chapter of ACFE aims to reduce the incidence of fraud and assist of its detection and deterrence. The Chapter's objectives are to: - Create awareness of the CFE credential - Serve the community through public education, liaison with other professional organizations, and liaison with law enforcement - Contribute to common body of knowledge which involves investigation of fraud, criminology and ethics for fraud examiners, and fraudulent financial transactions and fraud schemes - Provide training to its members and other professionals in the fraud examination field
